유독 어긋난 순간 앞에서 시선이 멈춘다.
온몸의 감각이 대상을 향해 반응하기 시작하면,
나는 금방이라도 사라져 버릴 것처럼 매혹되어 그것을 향해 셔터를 누른다.
얼마의 시간일까.
몰입의 순간이 끝나고 나면 지극히 개인적인, 나와 그것 사이의 흔적이 남는다.
촬영은 언제나 그런 식이었다.
나는 매번 다른 풍경 앞에 서 있었지만, 늘 같은 형태의 감각에 끌렸고,
그것을 의심하기도 전에 촬영은 순식간에 끝이 난다.
멀리 떠날수록 감각은 깨어났고, 나는 그 순간들을 수집했다.
이번 전시는 수많은 감응의 순간들 가운데
유독 나를 오래 서성거리게 만든 나무들의 기록을 골라 보여준다.
수많은 흔적들 중 골라낸, 이 불친절한 사진들 앞에서
당신의 감각 또한 깨어날 수 있다면,
그것으로 충분히 매혹적인 순간일 것이다.

My gaze comes to rest on moments that feel somehow out of place.
When my whole body begins to respond to what is before me,
I become captivated by it, as though it might disappear at any moment, and press the shutter.
How long does it last?
When the moment of immersion passes, what remains is something deeply personal—a trace left between myself and what stood before me.
This is how I have always photographed.
I have stood before different landscapes each time, yet I have always been drawn to the same kind of sensation.
Before I can even question that sensation, the act of photographing is already over.
The farther I traveled, the more awake my senses became, and I collected those moments.
For this exhibition, from countless moments of resonance,
I have chosen photographs of trees that made me linger the longest.
Among the countless traces I have collected, I have chosen these elusive photographs.
If your senses, too, begin to awaken before them,
that alone would be a captivating moment.
